It’s the weekend. Finally.

Monday = my first day off due to a holiday!

NHBC Family :)
That was a random picture and thought…
Things don’t always go the way we plan, but its okay! As cliche and dumb as this sounds, things will work out. Now I should be the last person to say this because prior to getting a job, I was freaking out. But…I’m here and still standing! And I do believe that there is a reason why I am here in Wyoming, MI. If you asked me 4 years ago where I wanted to be in 2012, I would have told you I don’t know, but the last place is in Michigan. Hahahaha, its funny how things work out. But there is a reason! I have high hopes and dreams for the year ahead of me and especially next year. Things that make me nervous, excited, hopeful, excited, excited, excited, excited…
Whatever happens in the future, good and bad, my prayer is that I will not lose sight of what it means to be a child of God and to love Him the most.

I am one fortunate guy.

Looks like things are coming together for a lot of people around me. Makes me really happy :)

Looking forward to more to come.

Had a great weeked. Bummed that it went by so fast, but there’s always next weekend :)

Happy birthday to Nari and Jess!

First week of full-time work: Done

I did it! My first week of working is done!!!! Only the rest of my life time to go now…haha. But all joking aside, as tiring as this week has been, working at Hudsonville Ice Cream is a lot of fun and I am so thankful that God provided me a job and co-workers who are so welcoming and warm. Even though I have accepted that I am a full-time worker now and I know that I am in a new stage in my life, I’m finding that the transition is a little more difficult than I thought it would be. What’s the hardest part?

….Sleeping by 10:00 pm. The last time that I went to bed this regularly was literally when I was in elementary school. But I always have to remind myself that the longer I stay up, the more tired I’m going to be the next day. I’m also trying to get used to the tiredness that I experience when I get back home from work, but I think that I’ll get more and more used to it as time goes on :)

But thank you to everyone who encouraged, supported and prayed for me throughout this entire process. I really do believe that I have a job because God is so good, but also because of the prayer and support from everyone around me. So if you’re reading this, thank you.

And now with my first week done, I look forward to the future and what my future holds at work and in my life as a whole. My prayer is that I would continue to be willing to be molded by Him, and not by this world. I find that its easy for me to disregard God and do my own thing when I get back home, but I want more to life than just that. I want God. So please keep me accountable! I have a long ways to go in my walk of faith, but I have always believed that God is faithful to those that are faithful to Him :)

I’ll try to update more soon and maybe tell some funny stories from work~

First Day

Today was a lot of things, but it was definitely exciting to begin full-time work. I’m realizing that I’m going to have to adjust to a lot of things not just at work, but even living on my own now. Although I do wish I was back in East Lansing surrounded by some of my greatest friends, there is a reason why I am where I am :)

The people that I work with are really cool, the job that I’ll be performing is really food science..y, the facility is amazing and there is always room for me to explore new areas in the company. I’m not sure what the next few weeks or even days will bring, but I am so thankful that I’ve made it this far. AND, I’ve got a 30-minute lunch break where I can not only eat, but probably sneak in a few games of scramble with friends :) TEEHEE.

A new journey is beginning for me, and I’ll keep you guys posted as things progress so…until next time!

Can’t believe that the next chapter of my life is starting tomorrow.

Time to put on my game face.

I remember constantly posting about how quickly time flies by this year, and here we are, and the time has flown by.

There aren’t enough words to describe this past year, even this past week. I have the most amazing people in my life and I say that with no exaggeration. My life has had ups, and a fair share of downs, but the people that I can always depend on in every situation are my family and friends. Thanks guys.

Although they’ll never read this, I thank my parents so much for not only supporting me in every sense throughout college, but for shaping me to be the man that I am today. We have no say in who our parents are, but I’m so thankful towards God that He chose the perfect parents for me. Thank you 아빠 and 엄마.

And last but definitely not least, thank you God. You know my every thought, feeling and emotion. I’ll never be able to put my thanks towards You in words, so I’ll simply leave it at….Thank You.

I am…done. Is this for real?

It seems like it was only yesterday when I came to MSU as a Chicago boy who hardly knew anyone. Now, Michigan has become my home and for now, my future. The past 4 years have been irreplaceable and now I look ahead to the next 40 years. Graduating in a couple days and then I will no longer be an east Lansing resident or a student at MSU. All I can say is thank you, to Him and to everyone.

Future…bring it on.

Sitting in my last class as an undergraduate student.

Bittersweet.
